Hello, I’m Kari. I live in Lafayette, LA, and I’m a ‘retired’ registered nurse-turned-realtor. I don’t really identify with any of those previous professions, as I now spend my time trying to squeeze in remote work while helping my teenage pre-professional daughter navigate the journey of advancing her passion.

I’m also a 3-time marathoner. I’ve earned my ‘first star’ and am a Dopey Challenge finisher. Not really sure how the girl who hated gym class ended up choosing running as her hobby, but pickleball was never an option. Sometimes running takes a backseat, but that’s the life of a showgirl-mom.

I started this blog because I found it very hard to answer the question of, “What are yall up to?” at gatherings with friends or even with my own family. Also, this is a good place to put things out into the universe that could a) help me process or b) help someone else who has ever googled super niche ballet things like I have.
